Welcome to Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care
Hi, My name is Clair!
I am very excited to have opened Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care in June 2016.
I provide quality home based care and education for children from 2 – 5 years old.
Experience and Qualifications
I have a Degree in Bachelor of Education, (Early Childhood) and have had the privilege of teaching children in long day care centres for 10 years. I also have my First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
A Warm and Supportive Environment
I understand the importance of working closely with parents, carers and families to create a warm, caring and supportive environment for the child. I will invite parents and carers to be involved as much as they wish to be, working in close partnership with families.
A Home Away from Home
Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care will provide a warm and welcoming home away from home ensuring each child will feel safe and secure in their new environment and furthermore, feel as though they belong as a unique part of the family.
Education and School Readiness
As a Teacher, I understand the value of implementing the Early Years Learning Framework and have had many years of experience incorporating this alongside children’s interests, family input and the specific needs of the individual child, making sure to be inclusive and supportive of cultural diversity.
Passionate and Professional
I also have extensive experience and success promoting School Readiness experiences based on children’s individual needs. I use the EYLF outcomes paralleled with each child’s strengths, needs and interests in order to plan fun and exciting, educational and meaningful experiences in correlation with the child’s personal development.
I am competent, self-motivated and an energetic Teacher with a strong sense of professionalism and a passion for teaching children in the ever so important years before they venture into formal schooling.
Exploration, Creativity, and Learning
Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care will support your child’s desire to explore and learn through crafts, group activities, construction and messy play, imaginative and inventive experiences, indoor and outdoor play times and free flowing exploration of interest based activities throughout the day. Overall, the children will develop a strong sense of self and a positive outlook on learning through achieving successes in everyday experiences.

Available Services
Day Care
This is care provided by Clair at Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care on a permanently enrolled basis and has a 2-day enrolment minimum for ease of settling the child into their new home away from home.
Children will enjoy getting to know their new daycare friends each day, exploring the toys, the inside and outdoor experiences and participating in the flexible daily routine.
The children are observed on a monthly rotation in both group and individual settings where they are then programmed for by providing various learning opportunities to inspire and grow their skills, improve specific developmental needs and support their strengths and interests.
Families will have access to this documentation through pictures and stories in an easy online app and open communication with Clair.
Vacation Care
Vacation Care is available for children from Kindergarten to year 6 during the NSW School Holidays.
There is a fun, flexible, interactive program created with the children’s interests and the dynamics of the younger Day care children and older Vacation Care children in mind, as well as consideration for the time of year such as Easter and Christmas.
Places fill up quickly, with previously enrolled siblings enjoying time with their Day Care siblings for most of the available spaces during the School Holidays.

Casual / Weekend / Night time Care
If you are looking for occasional care or respite care, this may be an option for you.
Casual Care is usually available at short notice and can mean you are called in the morning to ask if you would like to attend that day as someone is away.
In other cases, when an enrolled family takes a holiday, more notice can be given to you and a few Casual Care days will become available.
Occasionally Clair offers Weekend or Night Care to families needing some time to themselves or to attend an event without the children.
Casual Care, Weekend Care and Night Care is a great way for your Child to become familiar with the setting and other children. Although it’s not guaranteed, it can also lead to Permanent Enrolment when spaces become available as the transition is very easy for a familiar family to join.
Before and After School Care
As Clair doesn’t drive the children to do school runs, there isn’t a pick up / drop off service available at this stage.
In the past, this service has been successful when a family member is able to pick up the child from School and drop off for after-school care at Aunty Clair’s Family Day Care, with the Parent then collecting after work, for an example.
Families interested in this service are encourage to kindly fill out the enquiry form with details of what you are interested in and Clair will be in contact with you to see if it is a viable option.
You will be required to complete the standard enrolment form to enrol in any of our service offerings.

Aunty Clair's Family Day Care is a great place that my daughter thoroughly enjoys attending! It is a home-like environment making it very easy to settle into quickly.
Additionally, Clair is a great teacher - my daughter has learnt so much from attending, but Clair also makes each day full of fun at the same time! Clair has great communication with her parents and makes the whole child care experience less stressful.
